About ReClaim It
ReClaim It is a nonprofit retail store where creative people of Portland can find unique materials to reuse, repair, and reimagine.
We were founded when our parent organization, Cracked Pots, recognized the need for a place where materials could be rescued from immediate disposal.
ReClaim It volunteers work throughout the week cleaning and replenishing our store's vibrant inventory.

Inspired by the strong belief that much of what is discarded still has value, we are passionate about reducing waste and finding creative possibility in what others see as “trash.”
Since 2014, our volunteers have saved over 900,000 pounds of reusable materials and returned them to the community.
With Cracked Pots, we work to reduce what ends up at the landfill and educate the public about ways to recycle and reuse. We partner with local community organizations to further these goals.

Our Programs
Right to Repair
At ReClaim It, we’re passionate about every person’s right to repair things when they break—instead of tossing them out and buying something new.
Right to Repair is simple. It requires manufacturers to provide owners and independent repair businesses with fair access to service information and affordable replacement parts. So you can fix the stuff you own quickly—and get back on with your life.
Some manufacturers don’t like that idea. When your cell phone stops working or your lawnmower breaks down, they want to be the only people who can fix it. And they get to set whatever prices they want for parts and service.
